What would happen - to our church and our communities - if everyone at GOCC got involved serving other people through our God-given talents and passions? What impact could we have on the lives of everyone we encountered?

  • A corporate executive volunteers in the Nursery so that parents of infants can attend worship services where they will hear the message of God's love  without interruption.
  • A retired couple volunteers in a local Literacy program teaching English as a second language. As they begin to form relationships, they have the opportunity to share about God.
  • A stay-at-home mother volunteers in the First Impressions Ministry welcoming new people with a warm smile and an open door. This first impression makes people feel comfortable about attending our church for the first time.
  • A teenager volunteers in a local homeless shelter meeting the physical needs of individuals so that the chaplain can meet their spiritual needs.
  • A whole church volunteers to paint an elderly woman’s house because she can't afford to hire a local contractor.

We are created to join God on a mission. We are called to change lives, and, in the process, have our lives changed. Our hope is that you discover opportunities for you to roll up your sleeves and get involved in serving God and serving people. This is what you were made for!

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
